Shipping & delivery

Our prices do not include delivery costs. All orders can be picked up at our store or shipped to all countries within the European Union.

At this time we only ship to business addresses in the UK. Please contact us at hello@thecorner.studio for further information and shipping quote. 

Worldwide shipping is available for all our pieces. Please request a shipping quote.

For furniture and other items international shipping is not available at this time. 

Orders are processed Monday through Friday excluding national holidays. Most orders ship within 5 or 7 working days of purchase. However, shipping times may vary due to availability of merchandise. Orders will not be delivered on the weekends or national holidays. All orders include tracking number. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages or packages delayed by DHL.

Once an order is placed we cannot make any changes or cancellations prior to shipping.

The shipping costs vary depending on the weight and on the shipping area.

International shipping

For international purchases, we ship by DHL. They typically deliver within 4-15 days from leaving our warehouse, but we endeavour to send all orders by the quickest route. This international service includes tracking number.

Time of delivery is not of the essence in this Agreement. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of The Corner or delay due to any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.

International and over-sized orders will incur an additional charge. Any applicable duties and taxes will be assessed upon delivery, to be paid by the order recipient for international purchases. 

Shipping rates are calculated based on product weights. Large items, even if they are lightweight, incur higher shipping costs due to the volume of the shipping box. All furniture and breakable items are only shipped on a pallet.

International taxes & duties

Please note that custom fees and any taxes or duties associated with your purchase are the responsibility of the customer. These taxes and duties are not included in your purchase price. Please refer to your local postal office for rates or expected duties and taxes.  Customs authorities require us to state the value of the item directly on the package. Delivery charges are calculated by volumetric weight, and are shown at the time of order. 

Returns

Return process

If you would like to return your item(s) for an exchange or refund, please email hello@thecorner.studio within 48 hours of receiving your order. Once your request is confirmed, we will provide the return address.

Items sent back without prior written authorisation will not be accepted for a refund or exchange and may be returned to you at your own cost.

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to return or exchange eligible items. Returns must include proof of purchase (receipt or shipping slip), and all items must be unused, in their original packaging, with tags intact and in their original condition.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is faulty. We recommend insuring your return and obtaining proof of delivery, as we cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

Damaged or faulty items

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within three working days of receipt at hello@thecorner.studio.

We will require the following to process a claim:
- Clear photographs of the damaged item
- Photographs showing both the interior and exterior of the packaging (box or pallet)

This documentation is necessary to file a claim with our shipping provider. Without this, we are unable to issue a refund.

If an item is damaged during return due to inadequate packaging, we cannot issue a refund.
All returns must be packed as they were received - using the same box, pallet, and protective materials - to ensure safe transit.

Items not eligible for return

Please note that we do not accept returns on:
- Items shipped on a pallet
- Items requiring special handling (e.g. coffee tables, table lamps, rugs, consoles) - Custom orders
- Final sale or discounted items
- Items returned without prior authorisation
- Items not picked up by the customer and returned to us by the carrier

If in doubt, please contact us before ordering to confirm whether your item qualifies for return.

Delicate and one-of-a-kind items

Due to their fragile nature and the cost of reshipping, certain items will not be resent if damaged in transit. A refund will be issued instead. This applies to:
- Lampshades (replacements will not be offered)
- Clay or ceramic lamps

Refunds

Refunds will be processed within ten working days of receiving and inspecting the returned item(s). They will be issued via the original payment method. Please note that outgoing and return shipping fees are non-refundable.

In-store and online orders

At this time, in-store returns or exchanges are not available for purchases made online. All returns must be processed through our online system.

Product variation

Many of our products are handmade or vintage. For example, our cushions are crafted using hand-spun cotton, traditional looms, and natural dyes. As a result, variations in texture, colour, and weave are part of the product's character and not considered faults.

We encourage you to embrace these nuances as part of the beauty of artisanal design.

Lost or stolen packages

If your package is lost in transit, please contact us at hello@thecorner.studio and we will do our best to assist. However, we are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after dispatch.

Sale items

Items purchased during a sale are final sale and may not be refunded. They may be exchanged for a store credit voucher, valid for six months and redeemable via our webshop only.

Gifts

Gifts may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase, provided they are accompanied by proof of purchase. Please email hello@thecorner.studio within 48 hours to arrange an exchange.

Please note: gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Custom and bulk orders

Custom pieces are made to order and are non-refundable and non-returnable. This also applies to orders of 20 or more units, which are considered final sale and not eligible for cancellation, return, or refund.

As a small independent studio, we appreciate your care and consideration before placing an order. Many of our items are fragile, rare, or one-of-a-kind, and require significant time and care to prepare. We are not set up to accommodate high volumes of returns, and your understanding means a great deal.
